So I'd like to know if there is a way to force the opcoms to send more groups to a capture zone more regularly. Is this possible?

Set a custom objective with a high priority over the area you want the Opcom to focus on. It will then be more aggressive in taking/controlling that area.

Yeah I know how that works, its more the volume attacking ai sends, at most I've had 4 groups at the same time.
I've found a small work around in placing a few more taor markers at high value (900 etc) in near vicinity of each other.
Only reason I ask is this is going to be played with 60 people and having sprinkles of AI wont really work. -
The more custom objectives you place, the more AI that will assault it. 4 groups per objective. 3 objectives x 4 groups = 12 total groups assaulting.

You could also manually place several AI units close to the objectives and virtualize them. They will then join the assault.
